What makes Belli’s cold-pressed juice and juice cleanses different from others?
Belli’s entire mission is to support LOCAL—local food, local community, and now local juice.
Our Coldpress Craft Juices are 100% raw, organic, and locally sourced whenever possible. Some cold-pressed juices may be 100% organic, but Belli’s believes in local—even when it isn’t certified—because we know the farmers who grow our fruits and vegetables. We support their organic and sustainable practices, which avoid the chemicals, pesticides, and other harmful substances found in non-organic produce. And most importantly, we taste the difference—the difference between a local vegetable picked at peak ripeness in the Midwest and a 100% organic certified vegetable from California. That difference is in our juice.
Isn’t a juice cleanse basically starving yourself?
No! When done properly, you won’t even feel hungry on a cleanse, and you might not even finish all of our juice. By “properly,” we mean following our guidelines, which include not over-exerting yourself during the cleanse: little to no physical exercise beyond daily activities. If possible, start on a day when you have no commitments other than to yourself and the cleanse! (Weekends or days off from work are usually the best days to start.)
Will I need to stay near a restroom all day?
On a shorter cleanse you aren’t eliminating fat, so you shouldn’t experience any abnormal bowel movements. You will, however, urinate more often—a good sign, since you’re cleansing your body and removing those toxins!
Pre and Post Detox: Eat raw foods and vegan soups before your detox to gradually prepare your body for the cleanse, and after it to keep nourishing your body with healthy energy.
During Detox: You can drink herbal, green, or white tea—but no coffee or other liquids. If you need something to eat alongside your juices, raw tree nuts and low-sugar raw fruits are recommended.
Energy Levels: While you aren’t starving yourself during a cleanse, your caloric intake is lower because you’re consuming vegetable juices. That means your energy may dip at times, and we highly recommend avoiding exercise, high-intensity workouts, and cardio fitness while on the cleanse.
